Gaycation: Wasaga Beach Vacation at Lakes of Wasaga Cottage Resort

Do you know when you’ve had “one of those weeks” where all you want is a day off for yourself? Maybe go to the spa, go shopping, or drink your day away with some delicious Pinot Grigio? Well, sometimes I need more than a day off… Sometimes I need a weekend off to myself!

Lakes of Wasaga Cottage Resorts in Wasaga Beach was literally the answer to all my problems this past summer and the best escape from the city. If you’re in the Greater Toronto Area and looking for a cottage to escape the city for you, your friends, or your family, look no further than a 2-hour drive to Wasaga Beach!

I got to join a weekend getaway with a few of my favourite bloggers and had an entire cottage to myself with 4 bottles of wine! Talk about the most amazing gaycation ever!

Friends and I rented a cottage from Airbnb last summer and although it fit a lot of people for the weekend, it wasn’t that nice and cost a heavy penny. For the same price, you and your friends could get a beautiful cottage at Lakes of Wasaga for the same price with incredible wi-fi and access to their facilities like outdoor and indoor pools, volleyball courts, mini-golf and so much more!

You can even rent the cottages out for a season if you need more than a weekend getaway! I met some Toronto gays that rent a cottage for the season and came up almost every weekend for some relaxation from the weekend. Parkbridge owns many resorts including the Lakes of Wasaga Cottage Resort and welcomes all people! It’s truly a wonderful stay for gay couples, friends or families to stay for a weekend! #GayFriendly

From drinking delicious Creekside wine and bonfires with my blogger friends to having a beach day at Wasaga Beach and getting much-needed solo relaxation, Lakes of Wasaga Cottage Resort was the best option to have an amazing weekend!

I honestly can’t wait to go back next summer with my friends or a special someone to have another relaxing and enjoyable cottage weekend, and if you’re planning a trip up to Wasaga Beach, definitely check out the availability for cottages with Parkbridge!

If you’re someone who needs very little relaxation and needs more time doing things, there’s actually a lot to do in the area! Obviously, you could have a fabulous beach day at Wasaga Beach swimming, playing sports or read a book! There’s also the Wasaga Beach Paintball Adventure and Scenic Caves Nature Adventure in Collingwood, a Scandinave Spa, golf courses and trails to explore! Wasaga Beach also offers a variety of stores, shops and boutiques for all your shopping needs!

It was a fun weekend for sure. We love Parkbridge too. There are several year round options with lovely chaired and cabins that are heated there too. We manage to visit at least once a year. Really enjoyed seeing you. The kids are thrilled to meet Ryan!

I most definitely need to visit throughout the year and try out their heated cabins for a winter getaway! Really enjoyed seeing you too! Loved meeting your kids 🙂

Man it was fun that weekend. Gotta love smores by the campfire and just enjoying the peaceful ‘adults only’ pool.

We’ll have to go again next year.
