I’m going to be honest… the first time I heard of “Punta Mita” was from the Kim Kardashian smartphone game. That’s right, the popular app where you pretended to be in Kim Kardashian’s world back in the Summer of 2014.
What I didn’t realize is that not only does Kim Kardashian actually vacation in this private peninsula situated in the Riviera Nayarit Mexico region, but Punta Mita can also be very affordable for couples, who aren’t millionaires.
VACATION IN PUNTA MITA LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN
You can pay a fortune to stay at the same resort The Kardashians often vacation (which is Casa Aramara). Or, you can relax more affordable and still share the same waters, sand, and sunshine as Kim Kardashian!
I’m sorry but who doesn’t like the idea of relaxing in a lush tropical paradise, similar to the ones Kim Kardashian has, but on a more affordable budget… I KNOW I DO!
Whether you hate them or love them, The Kardashian’s know how to vacation. And when I heard I was vacationing in Punta Mita in Mexico, I screamed YAS with excitement.
Best Resorts in Punta Mita to Vacation
If you want to vacation like Kim Kardashian, I recommend 2 Punta Mita Resorts.
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting a few resorts in the area. And the two luxurious resorts that I loved the most in Punta Mita were The W Hotel Punta De Mita & The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.
Depending on your budget, both resorts will offer the best relaxing vacation you will ever have. Equipped with their own spa, private paradise, as well as gorgeous ocean-view rooms, both resorts will make you feel like Kim Kardashian.
However, there is a difference between the resorts; they seem designed for two different types of travelers.
W HOTEL PUNTA DE MITA RESORT
The W Hotel seems designed for millennials and people with colourful and contemporary taste (aka me).
Each day, I discovered little gems about the resort that made me say “This resort was literally made for me”. From beach bags that said “Beach Please” and neon pink coffee sleeves to bathtubs with a view and colourful Instagram spots, the W Hotel Punta De Mita is perfect for millennial couples and friends.
And honestly, I can’t wait to go back to relax, detox, and reconnect with my partner again and again. It’s a place I would come back to regularly.
THE ST REGIS PUNTA MITA RESORT
The St Regis Punta Mita Resort seems to be more designed for couples who prefer a more glossy and dream-like vacation.
With a 5 diamond AAA awarded restaurant, a spa Oasis and prestigious beach-front, The St. Regis Resort offered the perfect Honeymoon destination vacation at a higher price.
I only got to spend the day visiting the resorts hotel rooms, enjoying an afternoon at the spa and have dinner at the high-dining restaurant. But next time, I would definitely stay overnight. It’s definitely a honeymoon resort that’s worth every dime to celebrate like kings and queens.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE RESORTS
The W Hotel Punta De Mita offered absolute tranquillity in our room and balcony for the perfect reconnection as a couple. The swimming pool, cocktail bars, and beach were incredibly social and fun. This is great to know if you’re traveling with another couple or a group of friends.
On the other hand, The St. Regis Punta Mita resort was absolutely quiet wherever you went. Some people want absolute quietness, while others who vacation want a little bit of social fun along with peacefulness.
Therefore, if you’re like me and want to relax, but also want to party a bit, The W Hotel is the perfect spot to vacation like Kim Kardashian. None the less, The St Regis Resort is perfect for those who only want to relax in discreet tranquillity.
If I was to choose a spot to vacation for my honeymoon, I would splurge for The St Regis Resort. However, if I was to go on an annual vacation with my partner, with friends or with my family, The W Hotel Punta De Mita would be my resort choice. It entirely depends on your situation and how you like to vacation like a Kardashian.
